At Lilly & Scarlett's, Pricing can depend on multiple factors to do with your dog. This way we can ensure that we are using our hard work and time correctly, while giving you and your dog the best value experience for your money. Everybody wins!

Size

If you have a breed on the larger size it can take up to 3+ hours to complete a full groom. the cost of a larger dogs groom covers: the use of extra shampoo & hygiene products + our time spent with your dog ensuring they take water & bathroom breaks amid the grooming process.

Coat type

If you have a breed on the fluffier side or are wanting to keep their coat long and luxurious, this can mean their groom costs a few pennies more. maintaining a long coat on an animal that loves to run around and play in hedges is challenging at the best of times, but we aren't going to judge a few knots here and there, it may just take up more of our time to tackle those knots with your dogs comfort in mind.

*Note we do not brush out matting of any kind, it is much kinder to admit defeat and start again with a big shave.*

Temperment

As we said we strive to be inclusive, meaning we won't refuse a dog until we have tried everything we can to groom them safely and calmly. However with aggressive or nervous dogs, just getting them used to their surroundings and the equipment can take up a good chunk of time. By having these grooms cost only slightly more than regular grooms we can ensure our time & safety is covered in the value of your dogs groom.

Age

Its essential that as soon as you're new puppy has all of its vaccinations, you get them booked in for a puppy groom. We find that having a puppy experience a bath and blowdry, the feel for the equiptment, and desensitisation to the noises involved in a groom can make all the more difference in your dog when it comes to having to be groomed. That's why to entice new puppy owners to give their pup the best shot at enjoying the groomers we offer £10 off their first puppy groom!

Cancelation & Late pick up Fees

As a small business, No-shows and last minute cancelations can be detrimental, as with late pick up fees.

Disruption of appointments isn't just an annoyance, its a loss for our business and the high standards that we strive for.

Cancelation policy

If you cancel your dogs appointment with less than 24 hours notice, we will request half the price of the groom to be payed.

Late pick-up Policy

Don't get us wrong, we absolutely adore watching your pups run around our enclosed garden & we relish in their snuggles! but late pick ups can eat into other clients appointments and cause chaos for all.

We strive to give each and every one of our clients our full attention when in our car and we aren't able to do that when the salon turns into a doggy day-care. To prevent this, we will call you 20 minutes before the end of your pups appointment and, unless discussed beforehand, after the 20 minutes is up and every 15 minutes thereafter, we will have a £5 late pick up fee added to the price of the groom.

Arrivals

We also reserve the right to reschedule appointments if you are over 15 minutes late to arrive to your appointment.

We really do understand that life is unpredictable, but quality care for all of our clients comes first and rushed/overlapping grooms caused by late arrivals/pick-ups make it difficult to maintain our high standards.
